I have a winfast A340 running on Windows XP with DirectX9.0b and have tried to connect my VCR to the card to capture using the winfast PVR software that comes with it.
My VCR only has a scart connections so I have bought a Scart phono and SVHS lead which can switch in and out. This connects to the VIVO cable supplied which in turn connects to the card.
All the latest drivers have been installed (I have tried from both Nvidia and the Leadtek site) but when I run Winfast PVR and hit play om the VCR I get.... a black screen. I have tried wiggling all the plugs and switching over between in and out etc etc but nothing. The only thing that I can do that lets me know a connection is there, is to flick the IN/OUT switch on the scart plug which gives me a white line flash on the screen but then nothing.
I am at my wits end now and ready to give up so any ideas would be great.
Thanks

Check out the blue VIVO cable, there are two SVHS
female connectors.
One is for video input which you want to use,
another is for TV output which let you use TV as monitor.
