  1. I've backed up everything I want to save on to CD-R. I installed some more memory about 7 days ago. Since the Recovery CD restores to the original settings of the PC,
    1. Will the computer still recognize my 320.0MB of memory
    or
    2. Will it "think" I never installed the other 256.0MB of memory and still "think" I only have 64.0MB.

If the answer is #2, how can I prevent this error (I have absolutely no experience in being a computer technician).

  3. what recovery cd's have is an image of when you first got the computer, you know when there were hundred's of little links to crap on the net.It loads the image in 2 ways.

    1.Format your HD
2.Not Format, just overwrite everything (like system files and such, not other things like mp3's or stuff you downloaded after you had the computer).

So this will work. But afterwards, the task of installing your driver's for your stuff is anoying. But atleast its a good clean start.I just did this to an emachine I have and everything went nice.I chose the FORMAT option and went all the way.Again dont forget to back up your stuff if your going with the FORMAT option.
*PLEAse exclude this post,it wont delete,I posted the wrong recovery cd part*
