what program can i use to join two captured files together that i have captured using WINDV through my canopus advc100.

Virtualdub works good for this. Make sure you have a DV codec installed (Check the 'Tools' section to the left). Open Virtualdub, go to files, open file. Then for your next clip use 'Append file', until you have them all. You can also frameserve from Virtualdub to your encoder to make things easier.
