I tried to upgrade my ATI AIW 128 with the newest drivers ( from MMC 6.0 to MMC 7.1), following the guide written by Rfontenot: (http://www.vcdhelp.com/ATI_AIW_Guide.htm).
After running the upgrade, my ATI card no longer recognized the TV tuner - the option was greyed out, as was the selection for Cable input.
One thing I noticed - I did not have the all of the folders/files that are listed to be removed in the above-mentioned guide: "GUIDE PLUS+(TM) for Windows System" and "\Program Files\Gemstar"
Anyone else run into this problem, and is there a fix?
I'm running Win98 SE; ATI AIW 128 (AGP), PIII-866 with 512Meg PC133 RAM.

install display driver 4.12.6292, then MMC 6.x, then MMC 7.1 into a different directory than 6.x
