Hello All!![]()
I have decided I am going to build my own standalone PVR as a pastime/project and I am looking for people who could give me some advice.
I would like it to be a completely standalone box something on the lines of a Tivo not a PC with PVR capabilties. I would prefer it not to run on a Windows based platform but possibly Linux or Jave etc.
I have a friend who could probably help me out with the software side of thing but I am always open advice.
If anyone has previously done this could they offer any tips? I basically need an idea of all the components I Would need to put this thing together.
I have a cable TV service at home and would like to connect the box up to this to record one channel whilst watching another, pause live Tv .....etc
How would I do this because in my mind the only way to connect them together is by Scart and if this is the case I wont be able to get it to tune into other channels would I![]()
All help will would be brilliant .........PLEASE![]()
