Reverse a clip

I am trying to save a clip in reverse. I want to play it backwards basically. I can't find that option in VirtualDub and Premire doesn't work that well for me. Also I've tried AviSynth but I don't understand it at all. Any ideas?

Try Avisynth. Install Avisynth and type in notepad:

AVISource("c:\..full path\filename.avi")
Reverse

That's all unless you want to add more filters. Save it as filename.avs and load the .avs as videosource in your favorite encoder.
