Problem - Pioneer 106D

Got this drive yesterday updated to lastest Firmware (1.07). Also purchased some BulkPaq DVD-R (4x, Orange). Have recent versions of both Nero and RecordNow Max.
Everything goes well until, i actually start the burning process then it come up with the following error:-

Disc Required DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW

Disc in drive DVD-R


Im at a loss here, because in the compatibility charts i looked at before purchasing the drive and discs it stated there compatability.
Im at a loss. Any help greatly appreciated.

Who reported that error ? Nero or RNM ?

That was the nero error, but the other the RNM error is similar.
