My sister bought something from ebay in october and still hasnt recieved it. She has emalied the person several times buy he/she doesnt reply. She used paypal, can she get her money back? I recall someone saying that you can...but how?

Also, besides leaving negative feedback, what else can she do(contact ebay maybe)?

  2. I believe you have to contact paypal themselves. Look on their site for contacts. I haven't had to do that yet but paypal says that they will get money back or what not.

As far as ebay is concerned, they have a fraud department. I had to dig deep to find it and now I can't recall where it is, but I ended up sending the same email to about 3 different addresses for ebay.

I hope she gets her product but by the sounds of it, it won't happen, especially when she won't get any emails returned to her.

I HATE FRAUDULANT PEOPLE. THEY CAN ALL GO TO HELL.

Hard way to learn the ropes of eBay. Best thing to watch for when buying is reputable sellers with lots of positive feedback. A little late for that now though

There is buyer protection on PayPal if you are a verified user and the funds were transferred direct from your bank account. I don't think this option exists if you use PayPal via credit or debit cards. I just won something on eBay just a few hours ago and noticed this message when I switched to using a credit card for a purchase instead of direct from my bank (getting the airline miles ). You should be able to dif around PayPal to find this info.

I believe eBay owns PayPal so if you get the attention of one, both may become involved. PayPal and eBay auctions are almost seamless now.

File a chargeback on the credit card.

    But wait until December.

Give the seller the benefit of the doubt. Mail can be slow. The seller may be in the hospital. Remember these people are just people, not business drones with a corporate assembly line.

I sell on eBay a bit myself, and it gets aggravating when people assume you are a big company and demand instant shipping (within 2 weeks), and in fact, I'm just one person, with a life, and I have my own problems too, not to mention at the mercy of the shipping company.

  6. Paypal has this Protection scheme which says in a dispute the seller must show proof of delivery to the Buyer(your sister). Since there is non-delivery, the seller will not be able to produce proof of delivery and your sis will "most probably" get her cash back.
