    Hi all,

    I am looking for a rather cheap DVD-rom that can also read DVD-ram. I don't need to do any writing. (just a drive that can recognize and reliably read dvd-ram).

    Toshiba makes a fairly cheap DVD-ROM that also reads DVD-RAM discs. You can usually find it on-line in the $40 to $50 range.
