  1. I made vcd with vcdEasy v1.1.5.2 and when i played it in my dvd player, the image was totally messed up. It was kinda like how a vcr tape displayed a messed up picture, but it was constant. The audio was also a little messed up, it would play these beeps every so often. What did i do wrong? I'm using good mpgs from TMPGEnc.

    please help, thanks in advance

Well, at least you are good at totally messing things up instead of partially. Congrats.

Oh yea. Did you encode right ? pal to pal ntsc to same? Does ur dvd player support vcd? Does it play on ur computer? Is this the only disc that does it? did u try a cdrw? were u the second shooter on the grassy knoll?

You need to trouble shoot somewhat before u ask here as we are not magicians(well, most arent anyway).

  4. I should have mentioned a few other things, previously, i was able to whatch the video with the exception of the ending of the last track. The last track would skip a lot, even a whole two minutes at one point. I had made many cds before i realized that all the discs were messed up at the end. I had used nero before and it messed up like that. I decided to try VCDEasy by making an iso but then burning it with NERO. That seemed to solve the skipping problem, but the picture was all messed up at the end. I had followed the guides at vcdEasy's website, and once i figured out how to burn with it, i had a new problem, the picture was totally messed up.

So I've tried lots of things and followed guides? Could this possibly be a problem regarding the forced driver (for the writer) thingy, could i have used the wrong one.

Im sure there are vcd easy users out here that will reply. I never used vcd easy because.. well frankly it didnt look easy and I hate learning new stuff. I stuck with nero. All I can tell ya is that I encode in nero to mpeg 1, using the correct template. after encoding it I load it up in nero and select vcd. I set over burn at 82 min and 20 secs. set dao and then select my mepg. nero will do it's compatability check as its bringing the file over and after a few min I click burn and im off. everything works fine.

Are you sure you player will play a vcd? and does the whole thing work on ur pc? I would guess either a bad encode or you are using pal instead of ntsc or vice a versa.
