    That's easy:

    (800/904)*2500 = 2200 .

What about Audio? is you go with 192 Kbps audio then set your video to 2000. And yes, I'm rounding down for safety.

The bitrate calculator works. Choose SVCD as Type. Enter the length of your video in hours, minutes and seconds. Enter the number of CDs (1 x 80 min for example). Then use the calculated bitrate in TMPGEnc.

Well, if your DVD player supports XSVCD you can use a higher bitrate and put it on 2 CDs.

Or if your DVD player supports CVD you can make a CVD by lowering the resolution to 352x576 (PAL) instead of 480x576. I find that CVD looks better than SVCD if the bitrate has to be lowered.

Search for your DVD player here to find out if it supports XSVCD or CVD.

  8. Basically you have a choice. You either use a bitrate low enough to fit it on one CD, you use a non-standard format X(S)VCD or you use 2 CD's.

Or if you are really adventerous and want to learn the limits of your DVD player, you try stuff that can be found at www.kvcd.net.
