Hope this is the correct section...If not, pls move it..
I was plannining to order the refill pigmented ink kit from http://www.printerfillingstation.com/ to refill the cartridges on my Epson Photo 950..

  2. I can't speak for the ink refil you are talking about but I did buy the ink refil from Costco. The price was 16.99 and Ive refilled my cartridges about 7 times with great results and have much ink left. Sometimes you need to run the printer through cleaning about 3-4 times before the colors are right but when that is done, it has worked great for me. The website for this ink is www.ims-ink.com. Im not sure if they sell the ink off that website but it has a lot of info on it. My kit came with 3 large blacks, magnenta, yellow and cyan and then phot cyan and photo magnenta. When you get the system down, it takes a few minutes and is well worth the 16.99. Good luck.

I have the epson c-82. I bought the chip resetter plus ink. I could never get the cartridges to work after refilling. I think its easier to buy new.

Just to clarify..The chip resetter didnt work?

Where did you purchase this kit? Was it possible to return it?

Was it pigmented or dye based ink...How long have the cartridges you tried to refill been empty?

Yes the chip resetter worked. it just reprograms the chip on the cartridge to tell its full. Then you have to drill a hole in the ink cartridge and refill. Problems were that the cartridges got air pockets and stuff like that. Not worth it to me. Before this printer i had a canon bjc3000 which refilling was wasy ans worked everytime.

  6. usually epson cartrages have holes under the lables on the top, just have to remove them first.
While the savings can be higher i find buying compattables to be a less messy option.
    Not bothered by small problems...

Air pockets , not a problem with 950 cartridges, they have different chambers inside them, not air "bags"..

Agree, but where I live (Norway) both compatibles and original Epson cartridges are very expencive (as everythingh else for that matter)..Thats why I considder getting a refill kit, I have to buy them from a UK or US based webshop, and I have to be 100% sure they work..
