I like to watch anime and would love to be able to watch it on my big screen. I download anime from the fan subbers and they come with subtitles. However, when I burn it to dvd the subtitles are always too low for my TV. I can only see the top part of the text and can't read it at all. I have tried 2 different TVs and 2 different dvd players (xbox and sony)

Can I fix this problem by simply cropping the sides a little so it raises the subtitles for my TV? Thanks for any suggestions. Also, I tried both PAL and NTSC and neither worked. I have a Plextor 8x burner and use DVD Builder (and tried other software) but none of it works.

    Thanks again for any help.

  2. This is TV overscan. All TV's crop a little off the picture. All you can do is when you encode to mpeg, add a black border of approx 15 pixels all around. If using TmpGenc to encode, you can use video arrange method setting of Center (Custom size) to this.

Thanks! That was so annoying to try to read the top of every character.
