  1. After doing some research on DVD players, I decided to buy one the Denver DVD-311. (after looking at the dvd-list here)

I used TMPGenc - I have tried almost every PAL/NTSC, and a lot of those templates listet under "tools" -> "templates"
    (I tried using tooLAME also)

I use PAL tv - (no widescreen).

Please help, I will answer to all questions posted!

  3. What's the video source? If you're talking about a d/loaded DivX it'll never look that good, for a DVD rip you should be able to get a DVD quaility ENCODE at 480x576 (PAL) SVCD.

  4. Yes, I have tried both. I tried converting a d/l DiVX movie, but havent' got any good picture yet. Is there an average time I should expect when converting DiVX to mpeg?

I also want to convert my home videos, shot with a SONY DV-890 camera. The avi videos are almost uncompressed. But when I tried converting these to SuperVideoCD(PAL).mcf, the video gets noise blocks and the picture is skipping.
