I'm getting blocks after I burning with imgburn in my videos. So just to get this out I have a new PC with OS windows 7 so i have no idea if I'm missing a certain codec or not or which ones I should get if i'm missing any.

Never had this issue on my old pc everything burned fine so kind of stuck

ImgBurn has ZERO to do with these blocks you are seeing.

your burning the disc too fast

    try 8x and no more

blocks and or "pixelating' are usually one of 2 things....the disc is being burned too fast (i.e...crap quality disc)...or...it's in the encode video itself...just go to the section of the video where its bad in the files you still have on the HDD and see if its there there..if its not, your burning the disc too fast

I'd suggest burning at no more than 4x if you may have crap media. In North America anything other than Taiyo Yuden (you'll have to buy them online) and Verbatim (all good except their Life series they now sell in stores) is pretty much crap.

i agree with jman98...if it's stuff like memorex thats CMC stamped media then i wouldnt go past 8x...4x to be safe...you can get quality stuff at supermediastore..i would use the 8x + or - r's from verbatim...last forever

    i haven't burned a disc past 8x in i know...6 or 7 years...speed isn't everything in burning

Codecs also have nothing to do with ImgBurn.
Need more information on these "videos".

codecs have zero to do with that...if your using "dvd rewritables" then that could be your issue...if your using the dvd's that you can erase and use over and over again...they dont have a great history of lasting too long...burn speed or bad recode/encode

  10. IMGBURN does NOTHING but burn data to a disk. No changes happen to the files in any way. No codecs are required or used by IMGBURN. It does not know and does not care what files are being burned. If they play before burning, in the same format that is burned, then any failure after that is either media or player, or compatibility between the two. or possibly the burner going bad.

As for codecs, can you play these files BEFORE you burn them?
