    Hi all
    i already post a message and i thanks all for the advises: you have been very usefull!!! i have a plasma hitachi 42PMA400E and I think i'll get a standalone dvd player.
    Can u please help me on choosing between this 2 models or advise a new european one here?????
    a Thomson DTH-231e 149 eur
    or
    Samsung S8DVDHD935 299 eur
    They both support progressive scan and they both have a component output.
    The Samsung dvd player has a dvi output but my plasma hitachi doesn't have that input.
