  1. I know there's loads on here about dts but I don't have time to see if anything in the 200+ posts are relevant.
Simply put, can I rip dvd to dvd-r and ONLY keep the dts track when available?

Method now is dvddecrypter/dvd2one where needed/Prassi, works a treat but I'd like to have dts. I don't want the extras most of the time just the film and dts if it's there. Will the dvd 'default' to the one dts track if thats the only one on the disk. Usually in the dvd's menu DTS output has to be selected as an 'option' I don't have any rw disk's to practice on.

    Thanks people.

  2. I think if you do a movie only with dvd2one it lets you pick which audio tracks you want to keep (well the old versions of this sofware used to, not sure about the new ones).

So simpley click movie only & then make sure only the dts box is ticked & you should have your movie with the dts sound on it...

  3. Thanks for that. I never really noticed what it said in dvd2one - after a while using stuff I'm on 'auto' and just click where I've always clicked! I only recently got a dts receiver so it wasn't on my mind before to look.

.....my other question is tho, will my player play the dts track by default? I don't know how they work or how dvd2one codes it. Every (real) dts title I've played automatically seems to go to dolby digital unless you go to options first - apart from American Beauty which asks you first off which output you want.

Try DVDShrink (it's freeware) and select only the DTS audio track. Very fast, take maybe 15 minutes to do the whole thing? You can keep or drop whatever you want. Read teh guides, but basically you select R-Author mode, then drage teh main title into the new window.

  5. Yeah im like that some times, once you get into a certain way of doin things you dont notice other stuff

Personnal I like Dvd Shrink way better than Dvd2one & like Gazorgan said, its totally free...

i'm not sure how dvd2one codes it or anything but im geussing that if you do a movie only & only select dts, the movie will load up on your player & play the dts audio, as that is the only audio it has to play...

i hope you are succesful & get the movie how you want it altern8
