Video & Slideshow combo

I've seen a few questions on how 2 put slideshows onto dvd but is there any software that will alllow me to create a slide show and save it as an mpeg file for later dvd authouring - i want a video + slideshow combo dvd. I trialed Ulead Movie Factory and found it to be useless and unstable. Now using Ulead Workshop but no slideshow facility. Tried Ulead PcitureShow but doesn't seem 2 want 2 save my slideshow into a mpeg file which I can then import into Workshop. Any help please ?

1. I finished using Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 this past weekend to burn a video/slideshow combination to a DVD-R disc and it worked perfectly;

2. Ulead DVD Workshop *does* allow you to import still images to create a slide show;

3. Ulead DVD PictureShow converts digital camera photos to MPEG to create DVD slideshows.

Rather than explain to you point-by-point how to do all of this using these applications, I would suggest that the easiest way to convert still images to MPEG would be to use a *video editor* as opposed to *disc authoring* programs.

Okay, I too have done a couple of slideshows using Ulead VS 7.0, but the quality is so bad. I know that at most I can only get 720x480 resolution, but how do I get my 1600x1200 jpegs to look a bit better? Do you do anything special with your jpegs first before you load them in VS 7.0 like resizing the jpegs to 720x480?

btw, in MOT there is an option to save the mpeg streams - if you check this off, after it is done rendering, MOT will leave the streams on your hard drive so that you can author them in something else
