100gig file is huge ... 150meg is tiny ...

I regularly remove 150 Mb from single frames in movies with
no noticeable quality loss. Of course that depends on the movie
and what you consider quality loss. -

You need to re-encode your file at a lower bitrate. The lower bitrate and re-encoding will both result in a loss in quality. Depending on how low you need to reduce your bitrate, you may need to lower the resolution as well because high resolution at low bitrate = crap quality. So low resolution at lower rates may be better, but you need to judge for yourself.
Avicodec will analyze the file and tell you the resolution, running time and bitrate, from there you can select a target resolution and bitrate. I recommend using TMPGEnc and 2-pass VBR for best quality at a small size.
Post the results from avicodec and we can help you choose target resolution and bitrate. (maybe)"Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa -

I use 352x480 3420k VBR on my DVD player, and 23 minutes = ~700MB. That's about 30MB per minute.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

150MB for a 3.5min MPEG clip is, say, 5.7Mbps average bitrate. To get this file down to 100MB then you need to lower the bitrate to about 3.7Mbps average. You're going to loose quality expecially if these files are 720x480.

I wouldn't waste effort on this project, just use another disc.
