  1. Okay.. I finally got with the 90's and bought a CD-RW drive with the intention of making audio CDs and backing up data. However, when I heard you could make your own VCDs and play them on your DVD player... this caught my attention. I would like to copy old home videos to VCD format.

My problem is, while looking through the list of video capture cards, it's not quite clear to me what type of inputs are available on each card. I would need to transfer from a video source via composite inputs. Do all/any cards have composite inputs? If not, which ones do?

A friend recommended AIW, but there are several AIW cards out there.

Cost is a factor as I plan to only use it to create occasional home movie VCDs. (of course... whenever it comes to technology... original intentions usually snowball into an expensive hobby ).

Can anyone recommend a good starter card with composite inputs?

    All responses welcome...

  4. one more thing, everything else for createing VCD's can basically be gotten off the net for free so cost after the card is very much LOW....

  5. The reason I don't usually recommand an All-In-One card is mostly because of upgrades, especialy if you are a gamer and want a faster display card, i'd recommand you to find a single card solutions, so you can upgrade your display card.
