  1. I have a new Panasonic E50 and I am also new to DVDR recording, I have noticed that
my finalized discs when played on other players suffer periodic freezing and artifacts. Am I right in saying this is a media problem and I that need to use a media that is compatable with this unit. If yes can anyone recommend any. using 'Mirror platinum' 4x at pesent

  2. Only use 1/2x media. No point wasting a 4x media when the machine only records in real time.

I had great results with Datawrite Yellow 1x discs.

According to this chart Datawrite yellow 4x have 50/50 success rate and Datawrite yellow 1x should work everytime.

  6. I only use EP when recording from VHS.

I hardly ever use XP/SP/LP. Almost all my recording are in FR mode.
