  1. I am not sure of the details, I just remember it being on the TV or in the press, that they had bought the .TV domain from some small country no-one had heard of and the website changed from gmtv.co.uk to gm.tv

  2. The .tv domain fixture is actually the country code of Tuvula but has been licenced to a company (I believe owned by VeriSign?) that now offer the domain name to anyone who is interested.

If you have the chance always take the .com option when registering a domain name as they are what most people will type when they are looking for your page.

  3. .CO.UK is used a lot for UK sites, how come US does not seem to be used as much for US sites.

That is strange considering the domain was first established in 1985:
    http://www.neustar.us/about_us/index.html

BTW... www.dvdrhelp.us is available.....wait a minute that gives me an idea.

  6. I think gmtv just bought gm.tv as other websites ending tv deal with larger size womens clothing. The thing about having a .com is that if you type say "microsoft" into your address bar it will automatically look for the web address microsoft.com first so if you know the search procedure you can get more hits on your site. I think tuvalu is now non existent as it has been inundated by rising sea levels . All the tuvalese live in australia.
Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.

That's got to be a mistake or typo. DNS didn't start until the 90s, and HTML in 1993. That doesn't make sense.

Numbers... the things behind the DNS.

    Visit http://66.17.140.17

But also realize HTTP is new too, within past 10-15 years.

    Other protocols existed before it.
