  1. This new version of EyeTV is supposed to "integrate" with Toast 6.0

I can't seem to get an answer from anyone at ElGato... anyone have a clue what this is supposed to mean?

As far as I can tell it just means that you can drop exported EyeTV .mov files directly into Toast 6 and burn them, which you could also do with EyeTV v1.2. There is no further integration that I've discovered.

  3. Under the "File" menu, you will see "Burn Video CD" and "Burn DVD". When either of these are selected, EyeTV will save out the currently selected video clip as a VCD compliant MPG1. It then launches Toast and presets everything to the point of clicking the burn button. "Burn DVD" is unique to both EyeTV 1.3 and Toast 6 in the sense that Toast 6 will now take that MPG1 and transcode it to the proper DVD spec before burning.

  4. thanks...

I practiced a bit and found no real difference between using EyeTV1.3 to go to Toast, and just dropping the MPG into Toast.

So far I've had nothing but problems with 1.3, I'm going back to 1.2

What kind of problems have you had? I haven't noticed any difference at all.

Toast 6 now converts EyeTV files to DVD & SVCD format. If Toast 6 is installed, I believe EyeTV has a "Burn DVD" menu item. I don't have it in front of me right now, but I have burned several DVDs with EyeTV files in Toast 6.

  7. My biggest problems with 1.3 has been that it has had a harder time detecting a signal from my cable.

not an issue when I am sitting watching it, because eventually the picure will come, but for programmed recordings, most have not been coming out
