Hey Guys,
I'm a newbie so please bear with me. I want to convert VHS tapes to DVD MPEG 2 quality. I've read the guides on this site, searched the forums, but still can't get any audio after converting video and audio through TMPGEenc. The video looks great, but no audio. I downloaded the trial for Mainconcept a few days ago, and I did have audio after conversion. I changed the priority settings in TMPGEnc, converted to WAV, and still no audio. I know many have suggested not to convert audio using TMPGEnc but to use an external tool like BeSweet or TooLame. But I get no audio at all with it's internal encoder. Why do I get audio in Mainconcept and not TMPGEnc? I would love to buy TMPGEnc after my trial is over (low price vs Mainconcept), but I'm stuck as long as there's no audio. Last night, I encoded MPEG 1 video using TMPGEnc and I did have audio. It looks like I may have to start converting to VCD's instead of DVD's unless this problem is solved.
Card - Win TV Go
Capture with VirutalDub or VirtualVCR
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'll be grateful
Thanks,
Chris
