Problems with SVCD

I've got a couple of SVCDs that I'm trying to make a copy of for a friend (legal, of course). The problem is, while they play beautifully in my DVD player, Nero won't copy them and my CD player won't copy the .dat files to the hard drive (it gives an error). This isn't the first time it's happened, but it seems to be happening more and more often.

Anyone have any ideas how to copy these?

Try cloneCD or similar.

try using isobuster, to turn the dat. files into a mpeg file
