  1. Im trying to capture from VHS tapes through a Geforce 4 card with VIVO, but I am obviously making some pretty fundamentla error as I cant get any signal !

The gfx card (Gainward gf4 ti4400) has the adapter that came with it plugged in with the 4 connectors on the other end (in/out for S-Video and Composite). I have tried connecting using composite and S video but nothing. Using composite I plugged the sound lead to my sound card andd got sound, so I know the video i outputting but im missing something for picture.

I have installed the Nvidia WDM drivers and have tried to capture with both Virtual VCR and Windows movie maker (just to try and get a picture !) but no luck.

    Anybody got any ideas ?

I have and use the Gainward G4 TI 4600 Vivo to capture.

Make sure that you put the video from your VCR to the BLACK connector of your Vivo lead.

Also make sure that you have VIDEO COMPOSITE or SVHS selected as your source in the Video source input.

And last but not least make sure that Vivo cable is properly inserted into the graphics card.

  3. THanks for the advice -- tried all that and still all I get is a black screen

    Somethings wrong somewhere

I am using the NVIDIA WDM drivers and the NVIDIA site drivers for the card -- do you have to be using Gainward drivers or anything ?

No, i'm using the excact same drivers as yourself.

Download the WDM Capture tool from the tools section on the left and try that.
