    I have done a search but not been able to find a definitive answer about a patch that will allow VFW applications like VirtualDub, AVI_IO... to work with WDM (DirectShow) capture and files. Could someone point me in the right direction?

    Now I've downloaded the files, where do I stick them?? In the Windows>System directory?? Somewhere else?

    After you unzip them into a folder right click on the inf file and click on install. That's it.
