You could try Virtualdub Logoaway filter in the TOOLS section on this site.

    You're welcome. :c)

There's lots of other steps to get the video off the DVD and work with it. I don't know how experienced you are with any of those stages, but there's lots of really useful guides here and people willing to point you in the right directions.

But, ultimately, what you want to do to remove the logo/watermark can be done - it will sort of blur the area where the logo is - but look much less intrusive on the final wedding video. And your brother will probably be very impressed. :c)

    Good luck with it all.

You need to install Virtualdub first of all, then extract the filter to the PLUGINS folder in Virtualdub to have access to it.

As I'd warned :c) there are steps to do before that point. Do you have the mpg file from the video to work with?

Once you do, read any guides you can find on Virtualdub frameserving, etc - right here and other sites . You will need other small (freeware) programs if you do not have them already. It's all explained in the Guides and lists what's required and most give links to any other programs you'll need.

If this already sounds too involved for working with one video and you won't want to do it again, your other choice is to replace the watermark with one you'd find more appealing than an ad by using an overlay function in a video editing program (like Ulead Video Studio or something similar).

For example, you could put a small pic of the happy couple or a text box that says " (bride's name & groom's name's) wedding" in the ad spot instead. Just an idea - like I said - if all the rest sounds like too much work. :c)
