  1. Hello!

I have a complete movie ripped on my HD, the VOB files and the ifo file. Used smart ripper to get the stuff, now after aquiring a DVD writer I would like to put that movie onto a DVD but I haven't found any guides on how to do this. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks

  3. If you ripped all the files and they are under 4.38GB then all you need to do is create a VIDEO_TS folder on your hard drive put all the files into that folder then burn that folder using RecordNow Max or Nero.

If the files are over 4.38GB then you need to re-encode the files to fit onto a single DVDR so use DVDshrink which is free and there should be a guide for doing that on this site.

  5. Dennis1968, sent a reply thanks.

So basically, BOB W, this means I just throw the files into the video_ts folder and burn them as DVD video using nero??
I used smart ripper to extract the files, 1 ifo, 4 vob files.

If the total file size is under 4.38GB then yes. I would first check the files out using PowerDVD or WinDVD to make sure they play at least on my computer.

You say you have only one IFO file? That sounds a bit weird. Anyway make sure you have all the files from the ripped DVD. For sure there should be a "VIDEO-TS.IFO" file.
