I downloaded a rar-archive and unrared. What I'm left with is a relatively big file with the extention xxx.VCD.
There's no DAT file or anything, only this one big VCD-file.
I have tried everything but just can't figure out a way to play the file. Can anybody help me out?
(OS: win2000)
Thanks in advance

I know this seems simplistic, and you've probably tried this, but since you didn't mention it...
have you renamed the extention to mpg or dat? It might be the entire disc's worth of video. You said "relatively big file" but not really specific as to whether it's bigger than a vcd capacity or not.

If what mijman suggested doesn't work, try to rename it to .iso and burning it.

Struma,
Do you know what it was that you actually downloaded? The extension ".VCD" was used by a program (don't remember which) as the disc image it used to mirror a CD on the hard disc. "VCD" as in virtual cd.
