  1. Ok, I downloaded the simpsons season 1 DVD all in seperate .avi files (140 MB each) and tried to burn them through ulead DVD movie factory 2. Suddenly it said that in total all the files were over 12 GB! Can someone please explain to me what I am to do with these avi files to get all 13 on 1 DVD? Is that even possible? I looked at the FAQ and tried to use virtualdub to demultiplex or whatever but that only seperated it into WAV/AVI and that didn't help me any. I'm really lost =/

i'm one to give ppl the benefit of the doubt, but

    --------

btw, when you're converting the .avi files to DVD compliant MPEG-2, try lowering the bitrate...(i.e. maybe around 3 mbit/s...if this doesn't fit, lower it some more)

  3. Up to 4.7 physical (4.3 in Windows) GB of data will fit on a DVD-Recordable.

You've got some suspenseful software there. I wish my programs were as exciting as yours

some dvd authoring programs can't figure out that something is already compressed and they make the file as long as the time span of the compressed material instead of making it fit on one disc

neodvd is notorious for doing that too.

for instance say i capture a 2hr movie in wmv. format and it only take up 700mb of space

if i use neodvd to make the dvd out of it, the uncompressed the final file will be about 7.5 gig long

because a stardard uncompress movie is that long
