hi everyone. i have a problem with TMPGEnc. i was using it to edit MPEGS that i was gonna put on DVD and it worked for all of them except for 1 file. i mean i edit the file and name it and give it a destination and then i hit RUN but it tells me this:
    Illegal MPEG video stream
and i have to abort. please help me out in figuring this. thanks.

  2. At first thought, it sounds like the MPEG file might be corrupt. tyr re-encoding the MPEG from the original source if possibe, or if it was captured directly to MPEG, you might need to recapture.

Seems like you f@uck up the header of your mpeg....
It happens some times during cutting...

Try to remutiplex your file. It might work...

  5. If you get really stuck try opening it in WMM, that thing opens everything convert it to high quality and then back into tmpgenc which will do it to mpg, a bit laborious but I have never had it fail.

ok everybody i was thinking and it would probably help a lot if i told you the details, i will start from the top.

i converted VCD to MPEG. i was making a DVD and i wanted to add a track to the DVD which had songs (music videos) from the movie. so to get the songs out, i used TMPGEnc and i went to MPEG Tools... and went to the last tab Merge & Cut and edited the MPEG from the VCD and i created a start and end point which was the start and beginning of the song, i then saved it as a different MPEG, but when i hit RUN it said producing video stream and then it said seeking track then it had zeros for the video stream and said illegal video stream. i hope this helps. please help me, thanks.
