When I load taped DV created with Studio into Arcsoft ShowBiz DVD (bundled with my HP DVD300e)and add menus, then burn, the DVD works perfectly with my Panasonic DVD A360 player. This of course creates a DVD with poor-looking menus.
When I load the same DV into Studio, add menus, save to disk and burn using Nero DVD (UDF 1.02 format), the DVD does not work on the A360. "No Play" message. Reading other threads suggests that the UDF 1.02 format is the most compatible.
There is no information in the Arcsoft doc or on their website that could help me to understand what format the ShowBiz DVD is in. Rather than trying out every one of the many Nero formats, can anyone suggest how I can determine what format ShowBiz is using? (Arcsoft says that tech support has to come from HP for the bundled product. HP supports things that are broken, and this is not.)
If I can understand the format ShowBiz is using, I can burn Studio images with Nero and forget about ShowBiz. (The HP DVD300e is not on the Pinnacle compatible drives list, and it does not work with the Pinnacle DV card, so burning from Studio is not an option. I have to disconnect the drive, save to disk, and burn with something else.) I am using HP DVD+R disks.
