    2 ways
    1. Internal
You need a fast machine to do this
    www.hypercam.com
    or www.snagit.com
both capture what's on your desktop to a file
Both have problems if you don't have at least a GIG on board or want to do more than 640x480

    2. If your video card (GRAPHIC ADAPTOR) has an extra
VGA CONNECTOR or better still a VIDEO OUT (composite or s-video)
it can be adapted to another TOWER's CAPTURE IN
(Did I mention this method requires 2 computers?)
This is obviosly a better way..cause its way leess confusing too

  2. I don't want the video to be converted to anolog then back to digital. I'll try snagit. Thanks.

  3. looks like I will have to use hardware (Video Out). My comp is not fast enough to do the software soltuions.

One thing to try ..if you can..make the frame rate for the capture 10frames a second..maybe that'll do with snagit

The other hint..If you hav'ta go analog out to another machine
set the first one up for 640x480 desktop for a change..then I find the analog capture is clearest on the second

If the video is something along the lines of gameplay, like quake, forget programs like snaggit, I highly reccomend using TV-Video out, I was in your shoes about 6 months ago, when I had to do a game play vid.

If you still go with the internal method, I suggest using this:
    http://www.fraps.com/

Absolutely free, and works quite well.
