Is it possible to create a VCD with Dolby Digital Surround Sound?

It's easy enough to experiment on your own. Mux the M2v and AC3 files into a system Mpeg with BBMpeg and then use this to author a VCD in VCDEasy. It will tell you that the file is non-compliant but you can tell it to use it anyway. -
Well..The answer is no..VCD's dont support Dolby Digital. You can in theory make one but i doubt your DVD player will play it. SVCD's support the mpeg 5.1 surround format i do believe but its a bit of wierd format n not easy to make.

Yep, I just tried the other day. Made an ac3 track and it would not play any audio.
