  1. Hi all!
Recently my brand new Pioneer 105 burner had to be returned (after 2 monthes and 9 successully burnt DVD).
I was thinking "well, bad luck..."

But on some other forums I read the post of a user complaining that a Princo DVD-R has broken his pioneer 104 drive !
Suddendly I got big doubts !

    Can a princo (certified x4) DVD simply break my Pioneer 105 burner ? I mean is this technically possible ? It's a x4 drive and a x4 DVD !

    I have the 1.0 firmware.

    Thanks for your comments

There was a problem with Pioneer 103 and 104 (a03 and a04) burners that using 4x media could screw up the drive (any 4x media, not just princo's).

This problem was fixed with firmware but the 105 was not affected.....burn away my friend.....burn away.

(disclaimer: I take no responsibility if you screw up your drive by "burning away" )
