Photo2 VCD help?

I've been trying to get Photo2VCD 2.62 to work for days now. I designed a Photo CD with 6 albums in it...inserted music clips...and selected transition for each.
On my first attempt to create a SVCD, I attempted to use the programs integrated burning software but all I got was a coaster.
No problem... I'm flexible. I then attempted to use the program to create a SVCD image file (bin/cue) and I checked the cue to make sure ther was no directory info in it. Tried burning with Nero 5.5.1.8 and voila... another coaster! I then tried all combos of VCD, SVCD & even the versions w/out music or transitions with no luck.
As a final attempt I tried to use the program to create SVCD mpg files for later burning with Nero to a VCD or SVCD. I got 4 of the 6 albums, but I always get an unexpected error message when processing the 6th album & the prg shuts down.

I'm running Win2K Pro on a 700Mhz PIII. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or SUGGEST A BETTER PHOTO_CD APP (I hear WinOnCD is better?) !!!

I really like Ulead's Picture Show II.

Most of their other stuff is crap, but this software works as advertised and it's dead solid simple. Without transitions the images look as good or better than DVD stills -- with transitions, of course, you're stuck with MPEG1 quality.

It's at least worth a try -- they have a (somewhat crippled) free demo you can download and give it a shot. It doesn't work well for DVDs (translation: almost not at all) but for VCD it's perfect.
