  1. I have tried to convert an AVI file to MPEG using tmpgenc but every few frames or so the video is lost so while i still have audio i have no video

I have successfully converted many avi's to mpegs but i have gone thru the conversion guides and had a check in the forums

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

  2. Need more info!

What is your source material, what audio and video codecs does it use, what fps is it. Will it play ok in WMP. What is your destination format, (S)VCD or DVD, what settings or templates do you use in TmpGenc?

Give us some or all of this and maybe someone can help.

  4. With Xvids, I would always recomend using virtualdub to frameserve them to TmpGenc, there is a guide on doing this in the CONVERT section, see if that helps.

What do you mean it won't work. What error message did you get (if any). If you get 'cannot open or unsupported' try raising the priority of the direct show filter. Also, don't foget to install the vdub avi client frame handler first.
