  1. I sent this e-mail to Ritek Media. Ritec is listed as compatible by the manufacturer. Can anyone here answer these questions?

    BTW what is warez?

I tried to transfer analog tapes to 4x DVD+R with Ritek DVD+R media. The DVD Player did not recognize the media. I was using Aver DVD EZMaker.

I then downloaded Pinnacle's Instant Copy and tried to copy a DVD. It took 8-10 tries with different Ritek media from the 25 pack and I finally got one to copy.

I have been unable to repeat this however. Now I have 24 media that won't work. The seller won't take them back because I used one.

Do you have any advice on how to get them to work? Can you replace them for me? Do you know if compatibility can be a software issue in addition to a hardware issue?

Im using an Iomega DVD+R/W which is actually a NEC ND 1100A.

    Thanks,

    Denny

    Warez
Intellectual property (IP) that is distributed illegally. Examples are software being given away or resold without the permission of the author, serial numbers or ways to crack software that is sold (serialz or crackz), movies, music, etc.

Again, it could be your player's incompatibility, not the disk. However it would'nt be a first time that a brand doesnt work well. What about using a software dvd player on your comptuer and the disk in there? Does it work? What about on another standalone player?

Check your model with the list of compatiblity in the DVD PLAYERS link over <----------- under OTHER

Type in your model number and see if DVD+R is even on the list

  3. The one disc that worked plays in my DVD player. I don't have a DVD player to put in my computer.

Ritek 4x DVD+R are listed as compatible in the manual and on this site.

I guess the media is not compatible, but how do you know what to buy when this happens.

Did your dvd writer come with software? It should have some sort of software dvd player. If not, try loading a dvd that has dvdrom material, they usually have a basic dvd software included.
