    Hi,

    Is it something I'm doing wrong? When i try to encode a VCD through mpeg2enc (from the presets), there's no sound in the desination file. In fact it doesn't seem to try to encode it. I don't have any trouble with the ffmpeg encode though... Here's the terminal output:

    Encoding started on Sun Jun 29 13:27:41 EDT 2003
    Input #0, avi, from '/Download/space.avi':
    Stream #0.0: Video: mpeg4, 576x432, 25.00 fps, 800 kb/s
    Stream #0.1: Audio: mp3, 44100 Hz, stereo, 127 kb/s
    Output #0, yuv4mpegpipe, to 'pipe:':
    INFO: [yuvscaler] yuvscaler (version 1.7.0) is a general scaling utility for yuv frames
    INFO: [yuvscaler] (C) 2001-2002 Xavier Biquard <xbiquard@free.fr>
    INFO: [yuvscaler] yuvscaler -h for help, or man yuvscaler
    Stream #0.0: Video: rawvideo, yuv420p, 352x240, 29.97 fps, q=2-31, 200 kb/s
    Stream mapping:
    Stream #0.0 -> #0.0
    Press [q] to stop encoding

    The original is encoded with Xvid wih an Mp3 soundtrack.

    Thanks!

  2. The sound is encoded later, after the video has been completely encoded.

    Allright... guess I should have been a bit more patient!

    And for what it's worth, if this works out, then ffmpegX is the best thing since Tmpeg & Virtuadub on the PC!

    Thank Again and keep up the GREAT work!
