  1. Hey all.

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to make a DVD with say 4 SVCD's on it?

I've got 4 SVCD files here and I wanna put them on a DVD-RW and play them on the DVD player in the lounge.

Problem is Nero says I need to make them .VOB / IFO and stuff and I don't want to and also if I try to do it in SVCD format it won't let me burn over 700mb of SVCD data.

Is there a way I can use the 4 mpg files from the SVCD and just make that into a DVD as 4 seperate tracks?

I could burn as data and play on the Xbox but I'd prefer the DVD player

    Anyone?

    Thank you!

You could try Video Studio 6 to load all four files into it and burn them all as one DVD, using the beginning of each file as a chapter.

  4. I follow a mixture of the following steps laid out on the following guides

    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/154453.php
    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/142742.php
    https://www.videohelp.com/svcddvdr.htm

The steps in a nutshell are.
1-Demux the existing mpeg files (m2v and mp2)
2-Convert the audio sampling from 44KHz to 48KHz and bitrate to 224Kbits/sec
3-Mux the m2v video and converted audio (obtained in step 3) to get the VOB

You may choose your own tools for this.

After the VOBs are created, do not go thru the hastle of creating IFO/BUP files. Use DVD lab to create the final VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS. DO NOT USE ULEAD MOVIE FACTORY as it forces re-rendering and you will end up with a file size more than the total size of your final dvds.

Does your DVD player support playback of raw files? If it does just copy the mpg's with Nero in data mode. When you play the disk a menu will pop up allowing you to select which mpg to play. This will work but your DVD player must support playback of raw files.
