Hi, I have a new Verbatim DVD+RW and firewire port for making DVDs of home DV movies.
I have been able to capture home movies using firewire and have a question about the authoring process.
The software packages that came bundled are:
NeroVision Express and
WinCoder WinProducer.
When capturing with Nerovision Express, I get an avi file which I can then edit and finally burn to a DVD with menus, all within the nerovision express package.
WinCoder captures in mpeg2 format, and then I can use WinProducer to do the editing (which is a better editing tool than NeroVision Express). The resulting file is recognized by the PC's WinDVD software for viewing. However, I don't know how to take the fiel and burn it to a DVD+R using NeroVision Express (or Nero Express which also came bundled).
When I try burning the 3GB mpeg2 file from WinProducer using Nero Express I get a "file too large" error!
How do I make this happen using the tools I have?
Basically I'd like to capture using either package, edit using WinProducer, but go back and burn using Nero Express, and haven't been able to figure it out yet.
I'd apreciate comments or a link to a thread if this has been coverd already!
thanks.
