m2v is (I'm pretty sure) an elementary mpeg stream (you should have an audio stream that goes with it as well).
I think that DVD Lab will import that stream and allow you to author a dvd with it. Most other "pro" apps should accept it as well (as opposed to NeoDVD or some of the more basic, hand-holding apps).- housepig

It depends on the authoring program you use. Some will accept individual files, such as your video (M2V) and your audio (WAV). Other programs expect to have a single mpeg file such as mymovie.mpgOriginally Posted by cammie
You can create a single mpeg file using many different programs but the ever popular TMPGEnc can do this. It will mux your seperate video and audio files into a single mpeg file. Please note that you might want to convert your WAV audio file to either AC-3 or MP2. TMPGEnc can do MP2 or you could try BeSweet which will do either (AC-3 or MP2 from a WAV file).
If you are looking for a cheap easy-to-use authoring program then you might want to try Ulead's DVD Movie Factory 2 or the aforementioned DVD Lab. The Ulead software is MSRP $50 but I'm not sure about DVD Lab but I think there is a downloadable demo for DVD Lab (I've never used it but may try myself as many here seem to be happy with it).

I thought Premiere was an Authoring Program? Can I not do This Using Premiere? I never used Tmpeg before
Thank you -
If Premiere is the Wrong Tool, Which One is the Easiest to Use, Without sacrificing in Quality? Tmeg or ullead, dvdlab?

Well you might as well try DVDLab since you can download it as a demo that works for 30 days. I just downloaded it myself but didn't have the time today to really mess around with it so I haven't installed it yet ... don't want to waste my 30 days heheheOriginally Posted by cammie
And no Premiere is NOT an authoring program. An authoring program is one that you import your video and audio into and then create a menu design and chapters and blah blah blah then it actually makes the file structure needed for DVD etc.
