  1. DIVX is soooo crap, nothing is ever straight forward with it

I am trying to convert an xVID AVI file in TMPGEnc to an xVCD MPEG file. I have all the settings right, I have extracted the audio separately and I am joining the two together. However, I start to encode it and I get the following message:

Doe anyone know what this is and how I can correct it? Its very annoying.

    Thanks.

  2. I've had a similar problem (I think).
I had to used VirtualDub to recode it and that worked for me.
I think it was due to bad frames and the codec having a big in it.

  4. Have you tried checking it for bad frames in VirtualDub first?

Or try frame-serving using Virtualdub.....or look up my old (?) guide using Panasonic encoder to encode to (x)vcd. But eeehhh... i started making vcd's too in the beginning..... why not make svcd? Takes a bit more time to do...... but the quality is much better.

How do I do this? And if it has bad frames, how do I correct them? This is my first time trying to do anything with DIVX succesfully.

Come on..... search the forums & guides a little bit, ok? Here's my easy-way to do vcd:

But right now... maybe already a bit outdated. When this doesn't help you..... search for the guides about frame serving. Let me know if it works for you, good luck.
