  1. I have a DVD+R burner. I am wanting to burn something on it but its currently broken in half on a part I and part II both in SVCD format.
Is there a way to put the 2 pieces back together and burn on 1 DVD that will play on a normal DVD player?

    Any help would be appreciated.

The main problem is that the SVCD standard resolution of 480x480 (or 480x576 PAL) is NOT supported by DVD. There are two ways to get around this, one is the header trick (see the link above). The other is to author the DVD with IFOEdit (which will author anything you give it).

'Most DVD players' will play the IFOEdit authored DVD even with the non-standard resolution. You might want to (or have to) give both a try. Because IFOEdit only authors from one MPEG file, you'd have to join your two SVCDs back into 1 MPEG prior to authoring. (Look to the left under Join for more info).

DVDlab will accept that resolution also it will transcode the audio to 48khz give it a shot. You can add several SVCD's.. You can add them straight fom the SVCD CD.
