I burned a VCD and try to play on my DVD player, it is taking more than 40 seconds to recognize the VCD. Sometimes it never recognize it. I used CD-RW to make the VCD. I have

One thing you forgot to mention was, which burning software and version are you using?

Aldus4, I used Nero 5.0 version to burn the VCD.
Please help me solving this problem.
Thanks -
I think you should upgrade. Version 5.0 didn't work on some DVD Players. Go to the Nero (http://www.nero.com) and download and install an upgrade (it is free!)

It seems that your DVD player is very picky. It only accepts a few brand of CD-RW. Try different brands. I found that Mr. Write 4X CD-RW works on most DVD players. I have tried several CD-RWs in my picky player and this is the only one that works 100%.

mrcdr, Where can I find this Mr.Write 4X CD-RW. Is it available in all shops or only in specific shops.
Are you sure, Mr.Write CD's will work on the Aiwa DVD player.
Thanks
