  1. hi everyone. when i try to load uncompressed avi's into vdub, i get a message saying...

    "Couldn't load decompressor for format 'dvsd' (unknown)

    VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. Directshow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable."


    Might I also note I was using Windows Movie Maker 2. Any ideas?

    I may be way of base with this but I see two key terms. Virtualdub and VFW. I know that Virtualdub will not work correctly with my windows 2k box unless I have the VFWWDM wrapper (available under tools).
