I cant begin to copy the new Harry Potter. When I try to read with OSEx and choose the FOLDER option, it starts, and then stops immediately and says fatal error, disc open... or something similar.
Maybe something new in the protection?. or wonder what I am doing wrong..
Thanks..

The workaround is to create those folders ahead of time in your destination directory. If the DVD has a JACKET_P folder, make one in the HPOTTER directory on your hard drive, wherever you're going to copy those files. Drag the DVD-ROM files off the DVD into your destination folder, too. You can delete them later.
DVDBackup doesn't get flustered by these folders, so it's a good option if you want to back up folders. It's also useful for specifying one group of files to copy off the source DVD -- OSeX gives you the whole thing whether you want it or not.
On the other hand, DVDBackup often needs to have the disc opened in DVD Player before it sees what code to use to decrypt the disc. This can sometimes be a pain to open and play every title on your disc before running through DVDBackup. OSeX can usually figure this out on the fly.
And of course OSeX can strip out individual titles. Every well-stocked toolbox should have both.
