I have ripped a dvd using the dvd decrypter and am now trying to convert to divx. When I open the Vob files in virtualdubmod the frame rate is 29.970, and the running time is short by about 15 minutes. I changed the frame rate to 23.976 this corrected the running time. However, once I'd converted to divx the audio was out of sync, at some points it is in sync and others it's not. When I've looked at the framerate in vDub, there is an option to change the frame rate so audio and video durations are the same, the framerate then is something like 23.988. Unfortunately trying this didn't help the problem. The problem only occurs on some NTSC dvds, PAL dvds are fine. Can anyone help, this is causing sleepless nights.
