Oh yeah if I understand correctly and sometimes it happens 16x9 P/S is a special setting thats rarely used. Its 16x9 and contains Pan and Scan code, but its never been clear to me if this is because the 16x9 is panning and scanning (aka wide screen but not as wide as it needs to be) or if its capable of doing both.. which is silly because if so then why would the studios include different video on dual lb p/s dvds.

Have you seen the region 1 or the old region 4 version of Austin Powers 1: International Man Of Mystery? it has a theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1 but a Panned & Scanned 16:9 Version which is basicly how Digital TV movies are presented (in Australia). Also i think Lilo and Stitch is presented in 16:9 Pan & Scan

Also, a lot of people have said that thay are happy as long as it is in it's original aspect ratio, What is your favourate aspect ratio?

It is not a code, this is the encoded video. This is usually used when the best transfer was of Digital TV.

I too am happy with what ever the original release was. But whenever I go looking for a DVD I ALWAYS get the widescreen release. Unless there is no widescreen release....Can't buy me love...

My favorite DVD aspect ratio is widescreen regardless of TV.

Original movie theater aspect. 2.35 or 2.4:1. I don't even know why they bother with making 4:3's from movies. Only movie I like watching either way is The Fifth Element. Just seems like more fast action. I've got the double sided double aspect ratio. Now that's a DVD.
